Why It Is Bellyache

“Fifty million Frenchmen can’t be wrong”, but fifty million bellyaches not only can be; they are wrong!

Medical statistics report that sixty percent of all people, over forty years of age, suffer from stomach trouble; their attacks ranging from the mild “burper” on through the frequent headacher to the double-bender, whose facial contortions and ill-temper slowly drives the household and friends into distraction.

It is too bad that medical authorities still permit all internal disturbances of the abdominal region to be called stomach trouble. The fact is, that not one individual in a thousand, suffering from gas, cramps, or pain in the midriff section, have any stomach trouble at all.

“Ohh” ! The writer hears a groan and a snort: “Huh, I wish that bird had my misery; he’d know that he had stomach trouble, especially, if his midsection vied with the aft portion for the attention of the hot water bottle, peppermint, soda, or something.”

But, it is NOT stomach trouble! It is bellyache! But the belly-ache is not the sour apple kind; it is the kind in which the nerves of the belly are under a degree of pressure which calls the attention of the brain to their plight.

Do not consider the word, “belly”, just a vulgar word for stomach. The stomach is but a two hand-sized pouch situated within the abdominal cavity, while the belly is the entire group of muscles, from breast bone to pubic bone, which cover the abdominal cavity. They are two separate and distinct parts of the human anatomy.

Back of, and within, the belly’s muscular tissues, the central nervous sector, the solar plexus, lies. It is this delicate nerve group reaching to the various organs of the body, which scream with pain when “something I ate” contorts the features and you complain with the sensation known as stomach trouble.

The stomach, itself, is only a mixing bowl wherein the food we eat is churned up with the digestive juices and water to prepare the heavy food particles for REAL digestion within the intestinal food change laboratory. In fact, the stomach has but few nerves and it rarely does more than growl at the heavy loads we eat. Once in a while, your stomach may burn you a little which could be a slight ulcer. However, this burning sensation may be nothing more than a too heavy exudation of hydrochloric acid nervously excited to unusual outpour. Even then, the ulcer is rarely in the stomach, but outside the valve gate; in the duodenal tube.

There, you have it. Ninety-five percent of you people, who are so-called stomach sufferers, have no stomach trouble of any kind. The stomach is only a paltry portion of the entire digestion system, or food laboratory, wherein chemical changes take place. All food that you eat must be changed to an entirely different pro-duct before it can be used to furnish you with heat, energy and body building. Metabolism is the fine chemical process of body building by which we change food into cell units. Cell units are the portions of our body which maintain structure and strength. The rest of our body is nothing but water and a few gases.

“But, where do I get my misery ?” The millions cry. Fine ! Here is the answer. The ninety-five percent, who do not get their so-called stomach trouble from actual stomach derangement, get it from a super-inflated colon. This big balloon tire may stand the ordinary thirty-two pounds of air, but just blow it up to forty-five pounds and feel the pressure start your so-called stomach pains from so many different places that you will not be able to tell just where you hurt.

“Well, if it is colon trouble, instead of stomach trouble, how do I get that way ?” You are thinking.

Now, you can really get some place when you want to find out why you develop so-called stomach trouble in the colon. You get colon trouble by WHAT YOU DO NOT EAT! Then, after you get into trouble, what you do eats hurts you. And, it is not how much you eat; just not eating right. That is a simple and correct answer, but it will take a lot of explanation.

Please remember that our digestive process is a chemical one. Chemicals are funny substances. You can make explosives and rayon hose out of the same materials. Thus, while some chemicals can be mixed to produce new products of worth, others will explode on contact.

In the case of digestive chemicals, they do not blow up in a disastrous sense but blow up they do, in a balloon tire sense. Wrong combinations of food cause wrong chemical action. How well you know it, when you begin to hold your midsection and groan.

So, just imagine your large colon as a balloon tire. When the tire is blown up, it expands in all directions. This expansion shoves up against the stomach; making a load of lead under the breast. The stomach may even press against the heart; creating shortness of breath. Again, this colon pressure may strike the kidneys and bladder; creating the impression of kidney and bladder trouble.

It is only when colon expansion is so great that it presses for-ward against the solar plexus nerve centers that a person begins to groan and walk the floor. But it will not be stomach trouble; it will be bellyache ! The pain will be due to your balloon tire (colon) being pumped solid enough to hit a nerve.

The body organs are personified and set out—not exactly perfect—in prominent position so you may see what the various organs are and that they have plenty of space to carry on their work without interference.

Most bellyachers (stomach sufferers to you) have but little time to let their imagination play, for they are too busy with a feeling which leaves no room for said imagination. The feeling is actually uncomfortable, or painful. When intense feeling reigns, imagination flees, and that is nothing but the truth in the language of the so-called stomach sufferer.

Notice the havoc wrought upon all organs by the distended colon. You do it your-self! It is just wrong eating! No one need take remedies for gas bloating. Just follow the Chemical Eating Chart in selecting food. A good colon alkalizing powder will aid you in becoming normal quicker, but it is not necessary.

Have you studied plate number one, and number two? Did you notice how the various organs of the body are crowded out of their rightful position in plate number two? Well; what do you say?

“Laws, man! Can wrong eating cause so many different things to happen inside my body?”

Yes, indeed! That many things and a lot more. You’ll find out why, what, and how, if you continue reading to the end of this book. Right now, we’ll help your imagination with a little logic, or common sense. Three words spell health: NUTRITION! CIRCULATION ! ! ELIMINATION!!!

Nutrition (the food we eat) is the greatest factor. If nutrition is correct, circulation and elimination will take care of them-selves. Conversely: if nutrition is wrong, your circulation and elimination become faulty. The circulation becomes automatically intoxicated or poisoned. IT IS YOUR FAULT! Circulation interference invites the undertaker to look sharply over his glasses at you. He wonders about your life insurance.

Get this; and never forget it. All stomach trouble is caused by WRONG eating; all bowel trouble is caused by WRONG eating; all other disease, except the contageous, or inherited types, is caused by these two. When the stomach and bowels go haywire, the various diseases of organic nature begin to attack the body. The fact is: ignorance of the law of proper food intake causes the individual to throw monkey wrenches into the machinery of the chemical food laboratory, or digestive system. Monkey wrenches cannot be digested. Consequently, shrieking nerves, or bellyache—not stomache trouble—is the manner in which your attention is called to the inability of your digestive system to handle all the junk you throw down into your interior body.

Remember this fact; your nerves will never shriek, or even protest, except under pressure. Your nerves represent your sense of feeling. Feeling always means pressure, which that pressure is just a mere touch, or a heavy weight. Therefore, any pressure in the abdominal region means that discomfort, or pain, is developing. Your so-called stomach trouble is pressure upon a nerve.

The stomach, itself, has considerable room for expansion. A big meal can only cause discomfort. But the colon is not allotted an acre of room in the general scheme of interior decoration. There-fore, when that big balloon tire begins to swell up from gaseous distention, caused by undigested foods, it crowds into unnatural position every organ of the body. All body organs, touched by the colon, contain a veritable network of nerves. That is why you have bellyache instead of stomach trouble. Now, let us look for the cause of trouble since you know what that trouble is.
