Youth Prolonged Old Age Deferred

The average person grows old prematurely. In the space of a few short years, after most people have reached an age which is far from middle age, they will suddenly present all the appearances and characteristics of middle age. Many men and women will go along nicely for a number of years and then rapidly begin to show signs of aging. Middle age seems to be only too quickly overtaking them. These characteristics of middle age will be found both in their facial and bodily appearances and bodily strength and vitality.

Most of this too rapid and early aging is due to the harmful influence of the common foundation of disease possessed by each and every one of us. The simplicity and ease with which such premature aging processes can be retarded and even turned back, quickly become evident when one follows the teachings of this system.

Judged from the possibilities of this system, the aged appearance of most people is unfair and premature, and justifies all the time and energy spent in combating it. The immense amount of time, energy and consideration expended by so many people, especially the fair sex, in their constant struggle against loss of good looks and advancing age, is reasonable. This system proves to us conclusively that their judgment is correct. Few men or women know how to prevent truly and efficiently the loss of their good looks, nor how to restore them when gone. In their ignorance of the true and correct means to combat this calamity, they resort to an excess of artificial means, when, in fact, they can obtain genuine, lasting results with comparatively little inconvenience and at much smaller total cost by these means. If people can be assured that the medical profession has definite means which will enable them to obtain genuine, lasting results in the improvement of their appearance, they will quickly grasp them in preference to the artificial makeshifts or temporary effects accepted at present. When they are taught that common foundationing is capable of giving them these much wished for possessions of good health and good looks which, after all, are inherently theirs, they will demand this means of obtaining the genuine. Old age can only be deferred by keeping the body as a whole truly (fundamentally) well. Each and every organ and tissue of the body must be kept young if the individual desires to remain young.

The commonest undesirable results of senescence and old age are caused by the evil factors of an uninterrupted common foundation of disease which has been operating detrimentally, more or less continuously, on the individual. This aging appearance is not a result of natural involutionary processes as were formerly taught. For instance, it is erroneously considered perfectly natural and proper for old people to develop all kinds of degenerative changes of most all the tissues and organs of the body. These changes may consist of loss of hearing, eye sight and teeth, of blood vessel changes ; of physical weaknesses, of loss of ability to sleep well, of numerous other physical and mental weaknesses. This system conclusively proves that these changes are not natural to the individual at that time of life, but on the contrary, that they are all true de-generative changes which were given rise to principally by the person’s common foundation of disease and that they are easily amenable to correction or prevention as taught in common foundationing. In these numerous instances we are dealing in the main with subtle chronic disease processes. Common foundationing claims that it has the power to arrest and reverse these degenerative processes. It takes years of study along this line to realize this but eventually it impresses itself indelibly on our consciousness. It is not so much a matter of prolonging youth as really giving the body its proper heritage. It is something the well-kept body inherently possesses.
